is an independent French company specializing in vibration management for rotor- and fixed-wing aircraft. Founded in 1986, the company’s head offices are located in Cergy-Pontoise, France, near Paris and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (LFPG).
Semia is recognized for its expertise in electronics, software and hardware, and mechanical conception, design, and integration. The company offers a range of products developed by its engineers and also performs fabrication, maintenance, and distribution in France and internationally.
Semia provides several ground-support products manufactured specifically for helicopters.
The Syntham 5000 (left), designed for conducting aircraft vibration checks, allows engineers to perform rotor tracking and balancing as well as assess engine vibration control on helicopter turbines. The product can be adapted to the customer’s equipment, offering compatibility with existing sensors and cables. No laptop or external card reader is required.
The Syntham 2000 (right), designed for turbo-engine helicopters, is suitable for use on or off the aircraft. The lightweight, compact device, which incorporates a frequency metering unit, offers quick, precise interpretation of vibratory measurements.
Cabin Vibration Control
Suitable for use with the Syntham 5000 or on its own, Semia’s Absorber Tuning Unit (left) measures vibrations via two accelerometers to minimize cabin vibration.
On-board Engine Vibration Control and Rotor Track and Balance
The supplemental type certificate for Helivib (right), an on-board device to control engine vibration and rotor track and balance, was validated by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in April 2016 for use in the AS350 series of helicopters. Helivib is designed to work without human interaction during all operational flights, allowing customers’ maintenance teams to focus on post-flight reviews.
