Helping to advance the position of the civil helicopter industry

The Government Affairs Department of Helicopter Association International monitors local, state, and federal legislation that affects vertical flight aircraft, and provides input when needed in Congressional committees, correspondence, and meetings with members of Congress and their staff. HAI develops legislative strategy, prioritizing the key issues that are pertinent to the civil helicopter industry, with the ultimate goal of advancing the position of the civil helicopter industry.

Congressional Business Tour Guide

Conducting business visits for members of Congress and their staff is a good way to build relationships for your company and increase support for a pro-business, pro-helicopter agenda. Likewise, they provide excellent opportunities for lawmakers to meet with their constituents, hear the success stories and the struggles that the helicopter industry faces and see firsthand how policies work in real life. Business tours educate lawmakers on the importance of general aviation’s role in the economy.

These visits can provide excellent press opportunities for your company. Better yet, the member of Congress will remember your role in your community and your hospitality. No matter the size of your business, this guide will help you plan, prepare for, and conduct a successful business tour and ensure that your experience is as effective as possible. A checklist to help you plan and execute your business tour is included at the end. Please click here to download the Business Tour Guide.
