Learn About the Mars Helicopter!
Wednesday January 29, 2020 | 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Room 204B, Anaheim Convention Center

One of the coolest pieces of technology to come from the rotorcraft industry in years is making a special appearance at HAI HELI-EXPO 2020 in Anaheim, and it could be your only chance to see it before it leaves Earth for good.

If you want to be able to say you saw this fantastic part of helicopter history before it leaves on its mission, don’t miss "Taking Flight with the Mars Helicopter", in Room 204B of the Anaheim Convention Center, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on January 29, 2020. The presentation will feature two parts. In the first segment, Nagin Cox, Deputy Team Lead for the project, will speak on the goals established for the mission. In the second segment, engineers from JPL will address designing a rotorcraft capable of flying at the equivalent of 100,000 feet of Earth’s atmosphere, plus the process of creating equipment that allowed the team to test the helicopter before attaching it to the rover. There will be time for audience questions at the end of the presentation.

Can’t wait? You can learn more about the project in the Fall 2019 issue of ROTOR magazine, or by visiting the newsroom at NASA/JPL.
