Your Thoughts and Prayers

  • Margo Marchbank
Vale Matt, and sincere condolences to his family - you will be sorely missed. I had the honour of interviewing Matt for an article we were writing on helicopter safety for Australia's 'Flight Safety Australia' magazine. He very graciously shared more than an hour of his time, and some penetrating helicopter safety insights, at a very busy rotary conference on the Gold Coast. It was especially wonderful to hear of the genesis of 'Land the damn helicopter' - a simple message which has had tremendous impact. - Margo Marchbank, Canberra Australia
  • Mike Iven
Matt was a great leader for our industry. I loved his email blasts and always got a reply to any feedback I provided. He will be missed! - Mike Iven, Dallas, TX
  • Todd M Petersen
Our sincere condolences to Doreen and the Zuccaro family. Matt was a great representative for our industry and a personal friend. He will be missed. - Todd M Petersen, Sweet Home, OR
Matt and I grew up together and nourished our passion for aviation in Yonkers Squadron, Civil Air Patrol in the 1960s. Matt participated in and ran many flying activities and emergency services operations in CAP, before he served in Vietnam, and after he returned. The Civil Air Patrol family is deeply saddened to hear of Matt's passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to Doreen and their children. - THOMAS VREELAND, Lt Col, CAPM
