As Vice President of Operations for Helicopter Association International (HAI), Chris oversees the association’s efforts related to manned and unmanned rotorcraft safety, operations, regulations, technology and international engagements. He is the industry’s leading representative in a wide scope of initiatives including aeronautical panels, working groups and FAA Aviation Rulemaking Committees (ARCs). Chris is a sitting member of the FAA’s Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC) and has represented the rotorcraft industry in various FAA UAS “Pathfinder” programs.
Prior to joining HAI, Chris served in the U.S. Coast Guard; achieving the rank of Captain (O6). From 2011 through 2015 he was assigned as Chief, Coast Guard Aviation Forces. As the “Chief Pilot” for the U.S. Coast Guard, he was responsible for all aspects of Coast Guard aviation forces that included a fleet of nearly 200 aircraft and units across the continental U.S., Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico.
Chris is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and holds a BS Degree in Marine Science as well as an MBA with a focus on Government - Industry Relations.
